Really enjoy this brownish paper in the meantime. Very suitable for fast watercolour sketching. This person looks very much alike the prompt of jyportraitchallenge and I am superhappy with it.
More of these... just for the fun of it.
Happy painting.

Back to portrait sketching. Still had an A4 block of toned paper, 200 gms which I initially bought for Urban Sketching, but wanted to use it up now as I would like to concentrate on larger formats.
I really liked to sketch with that paper, although it warps a little as it is thinner than my usual paper and it needs more layers to take enough colour.
The models I am painting are from my friend at jyportraitchallenge. Thanks to Judith.

The only nightsketch I was able to finish, was the one I did alongside Smadar and Isaac from cityhall towards Café am Markt. We were in such a good mood, that it was nearly sad to quit. The violet, Smadar used is awesome and we were having nerdy talks about colours that evening.
Later in the night, I joined the small group sitting at our hotel living room having a glass or two and we still continued to sketch...
Here are the portrait sketches that I had done when there was a bit of spare time, mostly when we were eating or in the evenings and most are unfinished:
Below you can see my nightsketch of one of our great photographers (and also Sketcher) Standa:
...stay tuned for more...
Before the sketchwalk there were a few minutes left, so I sketched Claudia at lunchbreak.
And here comes the portrait of Conny. These were the only portraits I could do during Sketchtour Kirchberg. Time was so tight.
Some time ago, I met with some fellow sketchers from USk Augsburg for a portrait session again. We had lots of fun and I made three fast portraits within about two hours. My first one was Simon with lots of curly hair and headphones. Then I sketched Sylvia who made portraits with clay, looking down to concentrate on her sculpturing.
And at last I made a fast sketch of Julia who was sketching for an Insta challenge while we talked. And I also started to sketch Joachim, which I could not finish. I was too tired and quit a bit earlier. A real fun time and I hope to be able to attend next time again.
