Nochmal Flieder

I know it is Tuesday today...but this drawing is from another "everything-is-possible-thursday" with Silvie, and although she is a writer, she took the challenge to draw this last lilac harvested from my garden on that Thursday evening. She did very well. Above my lilac drawing as a reference.

Flieder

My lilacs were in full bloom this year. The smell is absolutely great and the colours are as well.

Pentalic:

to the left the new book, to the right the book with loose sheets
Yesterday there was a nice surprise in my mailbox: Elke from Pentalic was so generous and sent me a Pentalic Aqua Journal in exchange to the one with the binding problem (loose sheets that fell out of the square Aqua Journal - see my post here). The new one is a landscape format with real binding - not glueing - and I am looking forward to do direct watercolours on this fantastic paper again. I am happy and thank Elke for the very good customer service.

Die Jahreszeiten

A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL OF YOU!

With this sketch I wanted to show the colours of the different seasons from spring to winter with the same little barn and surrounding trees. This is a good colour exercise.

For winter paintings I think this Clairefontaine paper I used is very suitable. It is very white and the colours come out very clearly. I did this watercolour in my  studio and wanted it to show calm and piece. Unbelievable that this is already my Post No. 500. I am very lucky because I got a lot of positive feedback, encouragement, inspiration, got to know loads of new people, learned a lot, and still have fun with drawing and painting. Many thanks to all friends, my family and my fellow Urbansketcher friends and visitors. I am looking forward to more...
