Mood of the day sketch - lonely pine

 

A landscape on one of my bike trails with one lonely pine tree.

Bei meinen Fahrradtouren komme ich ab und zu an diesem einsamen Pinienbaum vorbei.

Another of my bike trails through the forest. The day was sunny, but very cold. 

Zur Abwechslung mal ein anderer Weg mit dem Fahrrad durch den Wald. Es war sonnig, aber sehr kalt.

Shades of Green

My forest likes to be visited by me each day and I bike there very often. A nice place to draw is at a clearing close to where I live. I tell you why: There you have a background with the exuberant growth of the trees, you have the middle ground with the clearing itself and the foreground with just a few larger trees. The watercolour composes itself somehow and the greens are of such a variety that it can look quite colourful - all shades of green from yellow to blue.

Mein Wald will mich jeden Tag sehen und deshalb fahre ich dort oft mit dem Rad. Ein schöner Platz zum Malen ist direkt bei einer Lichtung, in der Nähe, wo ich wohne. Ich kann auch sagen warum genau dieser Platz super ist: Es gibt einen klaren Hintergrund mit den vielen dunklen Bäumen, dann gibt es einen Mittelgrund mit der Lichtung und dem Hochstand, der sich wieder extrem unterscheidet und dann gibt es den Vordergrund, der aus wenigen grösseren Bäumen besteht. Das Aquarell komponiert sich praktisch wie von selbst und die Grüntöne entstehen in allen Schattierungen von Gelbgrün nach Blaugrün.

Waldweg

This is a path in the Burgberg forest. Sometimes I come by with my bike. It is a watercolour I did a longer time ago and I like it.

Dies ist ein Weg im Burgberg Wald. Manchmal komme ich hier mit dem Fahrrad vorbei. Dieses Aquarell habe ich schon länger einmal gemalt, aber ich mag es.
