Waterlilies 2

 

As a contrast to the winter weather hereabouts, are some colourful waterlilies from a pond in Dortmund. Love the highly granulating watercolours and the play of contrasting colours.

Painting Koi

 

Sketched these Koi after Amandas photo. I really like the colour contrast and the heavily granulating colours I wanted to try. Should paint more of these "water-landscapes".

Landscapeart - St. Barbara Botanic Garden

 

 

Amanda sent several lovely prompts for St. Barbara Botanic Garden and I had to sketch two of them because I found them so beautiful. Great landscape sketching fun.

Landscape - Idaho

 

This sketch shows a landscape in Riggins, Idaho. It is an espresso sketch,... very fast ...about as long as you need to drink an espresso in the morning...

Landscapeartclub Haiti

 

First thing on Sunday morning was to check Amandas prompt for landscapeart which features Haiti this week.

An espresso later, I had to paint it immediately in direct watercolour. Another sketchbook entry into my tiny toned sketchbook. For the sky I needed a bit of white gouache. Thanks to Josie for the great photos.

Nach einem Espresso musste ich sofort ein direktes Aquarell machen. Wieder ein Eintrag im kleinen, braunen Skizzenbuch. Für den Himmel brauchte ich ein wenig weisse Gouache. Danke an Josie für die schönen Fotos.
