On the breakfast terrace there are lots of palm trees. This one is with Bougainvillea around the stem. Used watercolour pencils with watercolour on top.
As you can see in the photo, I use a waterbrush. This is just a test, as I normally use a real watercolour brush for my sketches. I still struggle a bit with the waterbrush as I still seem not to get the darks as dark as with a real brush - at least it is comfortable and I don't dip it into my coffee.
Auf der Frühstücksterrasse gibt es viele Palmen. Diese hier hat Bougainvillea in orange und pink um ihren Stamm herum. Ich habe mit Aquarellstiften vorgezeichnet und ein wenig Aquarellfarbe aufgetragen.
Wie man auf dem Foto sehen kann, benutze ich ungewöhnlicherweise eine Waterbrush (mit Wasserreservoir), denn ich wollte sie testen solange ich hier bin. Normalerweise benutze ich richtige Aquarellpinsel, denn noch immer habe ich den Eindruck, dass ich die ganz dunklen Töne mit einer Waterbrush nicht erreichen kann. Aber es ist auf jeden Fall komfortabel mit dem Wasserreservoir, denn dann komme ich nicht in Versuchung den Pinsel in meinen Kaffee zu tunken.
