During last week-end I had a look at old photos and saw some tiny black and white ones dating from the 1930's. I chose a group of four women plucking geese for the Christmas dinner and enlarged one of them because I found it interesting. See my desk with photo and sketchbook below. Then I sketched the whole thing into my book and invented the colours I would imagine for the scene.
Als ich am letzten Wochenende bei meinen Eltern alte Fotoalben mit kleinen schwarz-weissen Fotos durchschaute, entdeckte ich unter anderem ein mini Foto mit 4 Frauen beim Gänserupfen für das Weihnachtsessen. Das kleine Foto stammte so weit ich weiss aus den 1930er Jahren und sah für mich sehr interessant aus. Ich vergrösserte mir also einen Teil des Bildes und malte davon die obige Portrait-Skizze. Die Farben habe ich mir einfach so ausgedacht, denn die sind aufgrund der schwarz-weiss Abbildung nicht überliefert.
