What could be better than being in a warm country by the sea (...this is what I think at the moment... - it is still a bit cold hereabouts, but this week we could not complain. We are having a lot of sunshine).
Another day another test. Today I tried watercolours which have a very good coverage - more opaque tones.
In watercolour there are translucent, semi-translucent and more or less opaque colours. With this drawing I tried the more opaque way. My thoughts: Glazing makes for lighter, softer and more loose paintings, but opaque has more expression. I like both.
Wie gerne wäre ich jetzt auch am Strand in einem warmen Land. Übers Wetter beschweren kann ich mich aber nicht, denn die Sonne scheint auch hier, obwohl es noch etwas kalt ist.
Neuer Tag, neuer Test. Heute habe ich mal deckendere Farbtöne ausprobiert.
Bei den Aquarellfarben gibt es ja unterschiedliche Farbeigenschaften, wie lasierend, halblasierend und deckend. Heute waren die eher deckenden Farben an der Reihe. Meine Gedanken hierzu: Wenn die Farbe lasierend ist, wirkt ein Bild leichter und lockerer, aber deckende Farbe hat dafür mehr Ausdruckskraft. Gefällt mir beides.
