Spent a cold late afternoon in my forest in order to paint a fast A3 watercolour "Contre-Jour" of one of my favourite places in Burgberg forest. It is already getting dark quite early and most of the trees lost their leaves. A bit of preparation is needed, before the sun begins to set. In the end I just had to paint the dark values and the shadows. This is painting fun in the month of November.
Ein kalter Nachmittag in meinem Burgbergwald: Ich wollte ein schnelles A3 Landschaftsmotiv malen und da bald die Sonne unter gehen sollte, bereitete ich alles vor. Die Fläche, an der die Sonne steht, hatte ich fast frei gelassen. Schatten und dunkle Töne zuletzt aufgetragen. Ich musste sowieso schnell sein, denn es war schon sehr kalt.
