Happy New Year

Happy New Year to all of you. May we all see each other again in 2020.

This flower was a gift of my cousin. The special thing about the colour I used in the background is that it is a DS Colour called Rhodonite (Made from jewelry-quality stone. Acc. to DS it is a versatile rose pink, wonderful for portraits and landscapes. Used wet into wet, it creates a soft, transparent glow, without granulation. At full value, it is more intense but still transparent, low-staining and non-granulating.) I used some ultramarine in the background too, therefore I obtained a bit of granulation.

I traditionally draw one of these Christmas Flowers once a year so you will find a few of these if you search back in my blogposts.

Diesen Weihnachtsstern habe ich von meiner Cousine erhalten. Das Besondere an der Hintergrundfarbe ist, dass ich die DS Farbe Rhodonite verwendet habe. 

Traditionsgemäss male ich immer mindestens ein Weihnachststern-Bild in der Saison, also werdet ihr noch ein paar mehr finden, wenn ihr im Archiv stöbert.
