LOKET SKETCHTOUR - watercolours

 

We had a fantastic time in Loket. Now follow a few of my real watercolours, which were done on good watercolour paper...

The first one is from "below the bridge", a view which was done by any participant of #loketsketchtour ...we were climbing up and down the stairs "schlepping" (a word Hana Alisa was using...) all the stuff up again...

 I continued  another one in size A3 with the following watercolour of the castle

It was quite hot that afternoon and in the beginning we sat in the shade...later it was so hot, that I did not finish totally...

The next day, I did a panoramic view on 20 x 40 cm watercolour paper 300gms

which was to the opposite side from the fortifying walls down to the railway track and bridge... 

 You can see that it was a very fast one. I did not consider much the details.

I like this for its light colouring, for the memories I had with Jana and the other great sketchers there and I am happy that the river is a bit visible in my painting.

I still got some more sketches from inside my sketchbook, which are not yet fotographed...stay tuned...more to come soon...

Marktbreit Painters Weekend - day 2 - Panorama

On our second day, when I arrived at the parking in Marktbreit there were already two painters on place and I joined them. I started a larger watercolour of the city Panorama, the large Main-river behind me. As rain approached, we had to stop and move. This is why I did not finish the right side of my painting. 

In the meantime another painter came and we had a little picnic of four. I did not want to spend all my precious time eating and chatting so I decided to search a sheltered spot to draw the next one. This is addiction I think. I did not even really finish my next one as Moni arrived. Five painters in a small town.

An unserem zweiten Tag, waren bereits zwei Malerkollegen da und ich gesellte mich dazu. Wir malten alle ein Panorama der Stadt. Mein bisher grösstes Bild. Der Main lag direkt hinter uns und die Stadt vor uns. Nachdem ich das Bild fast schon fertig hatte, überraschte uns ein Regenschauer und wir mussten flüchten. Deshalb ist mein Bild auch nicht fertig geworden.

Zwischenzeitlich war noch eine Malerin dazugestossen und wir hatten zu viert ein kleines Picknick. Ich wollte aber keine Zeit verlieren und suchte mir bald ein anderes Motiv. Man könnte es wohl "Besessenheit" nennen? Mein neuer Malplatz unter einem Vordach war weise gewählt, damit ich vom Regen nicht mehr überrascht werden konnte. Ich war noch nicht ganz mit meinem Bild fertig, als Moni dazukam. Jetzt waren 5 Maler in der kleinen Stadt.
