This is another try of sketching a church from Oporto. Maybe I find some more in my photo storage. For the sky I used Manganese blue and some Ultramarine for the shadows. The thing is that I don't remember the names of the churches, so next time when I will be there I try to note down the important things. This is one of the differences to sketching directly on site, because you get much more information on the subjects you are looking at.
Nochmal ein Versuch eine Kirche aus Porto zu skizzieren. Vielleicht finde ich noch mehr Bilder dazu in meiner Ablage. Für den Himmel habe ich Manganblau verwendet und für die Schatten Ultramarine. Blöd, dass ich mir die Namen der Kirchen nicht gemerkt habe. Wenn ich das nächste Mal hinkomme werde ich da gründlicher sein und die wichtigen Dinge aufschreiben. Das ist einer der grossen Unterschiede zum Malen vor Ort, denn da bekommt man automatisch sehr viel mehr Informationen über den Ort selbst.
One could say that in Oporto there is a church in any corner as there are so many. I havent' been to Oporto for some time, so while flipping through my photos I found this view from above to the tower of an Igreja and farther away some of the port wine companies in the distance. I am always attracted to draw towers so today it had to be this one.
Man könnte fast sagen, dass es in Porto eine Kirche an jeder Ecke gibt, denn es gibt unendlich viele. Schon seit einiger Zeit war ich nicht mehr dort und als ich meine Fotos durchsah, fand ich diesen Blick von oben auf einen Kirchturm mit den verschiedenen Weinkellereien im Hintergrund. Türme male ich sehr gerne, also ist das heute mein Thema.
