No. 700

Unbelieveable!!! This is already my painting No. 700 on the Blog. This one took quite a long time to paint as it is a big acrylic painting. If you want to take a closer look just click to enlarge.

How fast time goes by... never ever would I have thought to do daily posts for so long, but I am getting somehow addicted to drawing and the posting side is fun too. In the beginning it was just a crazy idea and now it is some kind of every day distraction from work and I draw whenever possible, often alone or with painting friends or I sketch while travelling. So stay tuned and...DON'T STOP ME NOW...because I need to paint... or come with me and paint too.

Unglaublich !!! Dies ist bereits mein 700stes Bild auf dem Blog. Das Malen des Acrylbildes hat etwas länger gedauert, denn es ist recht gross und aufwendig. Gerne könnt ihr einen detaillierteren Blick darauf werfen - einfach anklicken, dann wird es grösser angezeigt.

Wo geht die Zeit nur hin... es ist auf jeden Fall ein grosser Spaß für mich so viel zu Malen und einen täglichen Post zu senden und dies trotz meiner Arbeit, oder gerade deswegen brauche ich es als Gegenpol. Ich glaube ich bin bereits irgendwie abhängig. Am Anfang war es ja nur so eine fixe Idee. Die Freude am Malen, Entdecken und die Entspannung, die ich dabei empfinde wenn ich alleine, mit Malfreunden oder auf Reisen meiner Malerei nachgehe. In diesem Sinne: Danke für eure Treue und... haltet mich auf keinen Fall zurück..., denn ich muss kurz noch was malen... oder kommt einfach mit und malt auch.

Bei Kirchberg + Ninas Ostereier

A Hohenlohe Acrylic painting on the first of May - It is a holiday, yeah. Far away you can see the towers of Kirchberg. The chateau in Kirchberg was an old people's home for quite a long time but has a new owner now. It might be transformed into an academy/school.

Ein Acrylbild von Hohenlohe heute am ersten Mai - es ist ein Feiertag bei uns, yeah. In der Ferne sieht man die Türme von Kirchberg. Das Kirchberger Schloss war früher ein Altenheim, wechselte dann aber den Besitzer. Nun soll es in eine Akademie/Schule umgenutzt werden.

Übrigens hat meine Freundin Nina wieder wunderschöne Ostereier gemalt. Ich bin bereits auch schon stolze Besitzerin von einigen ihrer kleinen Kunstwerke. Ich hab sie gefragt, ob ich ein paar von ihnen posten darf. Hier sind sie:

Bar Betancuria

This is the first painting ever I used a golden acrylic colour. Here it fits.  I like the combination of dark red and gold. The bar is quite a good place with live entertainment in the evenings.

Dies ist das erste Bild bei dem ich die Farbe gold als Acrylfarbe verwende. Hier passt es mal. Die Kombination dunkelrot mit gold gefällt mir ganz gut. Die Bar ist ein angenehmer Ort um abends noch etwas zu trinken und es gibt sogar live Bands, die ihre Musik zum Besten geben.

Frühlingsanfang

Again a bigger acrylic painting which was very fun to paint. Happy birthday to the "Lady in Red".

Altdorf

Spieglein, Spieglein an der Wand...

This is one of the paintings from my exhibition mid October. It shows two girls in front of a big mirror. Further down I would like to let you know the process how I painted it: The key is to place the dark colors first. I often use violet or brown in the beginning to do the lining and darkest parts and then continue with lighter colors. At the end I did the details in the hair and face and I set the highlights and shadows. I loved doing this painting!
Dies ist ein Bild von meiner Ausstellung Mitte Oktober. Es zeigt zwei Mädchen vor einem grossen Spiegel. Weiter unten sind Fotos auf denen mein Malprozess zu sehen ist. Ich habe die dunklen Farben zuerst aufgetragen. Meist nehme ich hierzu violett oder braun für Umrisse und die dunkelsten Stellen des Bildes und mache dann mit immer helleren Farben weiter. Am Ende male ich die Details in Haaren und dem Gesicht, setze ich die Highlights und verstärke z.T. die Schatten. Das Bild hat mir grossen Spaß gemacht.

Bonolzhof

This painting is a bigger one done in the studio from a photo reference. 
You see a view direction Burgberg (a small mountain with a red tower on top - a landmark in Hohenlohe as the region is rather flat). It shows a November day - very clear view - no leaves on the trees anymore. Maybe this is a bit of a contrast to the beautiful summer weather we have outside today.
