Yesterday I forgot to mention that one of our first stops after leaving the airport is Machico harbour which is really close to the airport. It is a nice little town with lots of boats and there is a good Cafe at sea front. If you ever go there, have a "tosta mista". They serve the ham and cheese toast on a round wooden board with chips (looks awesome to be drawn). Sorry that I could not draw that as I was hungry and it tasted delicious.
Gestern vergaß ich noch zu erwähnen, dass einer unserer ersten Stops nach der Landung immer Machico ist. Die Lage ist so gut in der Nähe des Flughafens und wenn man Glück hat, kann man die Flugzeuge von dort aus sehen. Es gibt ein Café direkt am Meer und wenn ihr mal dort seid, bestellt unbedingt einen Tosta Mista. Dieser Schinken-Käse-Toast wird auf einem runden Brett zusammen mit Chips serviert (wäre ein gutes Motiv zum Malen...). Ich war zu hungrig, um den Toast zu malen und er schmeckte fantastisch.
