One day in Camacha. A high up mountain village. Centre of the basket weavers in Madeira. To come here you have to come up very hilly streets.
As I did this drawing from an uphill cafe (a cafe with a view!) I forgot to draw the clocktower in the middle of my page. If you look closer to my on-site-photo you will see that. I inserted it later into my drawing... what was I thinking?...
Ein Tag in Camacha, einem Bergdorf, dem Zentrum der Flechtkunst auf Madeira. Um hierher zu kommen muss man ziemlich kurvige, steile Straßen nehmen.
Als ich von dem hoch gelegenen Café aus (einem Café mit Blick!) meine Zeichnung fotografierte, merkte ich noch nicht, dass ich den Kirchturm in der Mitte des Bildes vergessen hatte. Den fügte ich dann erst später hinzu...wie konnte das passieren!?
