Main Street Onolzheim

There is an alley of trees besides the main street in Onolzheim. I like these old trees. With the strong winter sun the trees cast long shadows on the street which makes them the perfect subject for my todays watercolour. An example for warm and cool in a painting (today an exercise in contrasts of warm and cool for me: The warm colour of fence and roofs against the cold of the surroundings.)

Es gibt eine Baumallee and der Hauptstraße in Onolzheim. Ich mag diese alten Bäume. Die starke Wintersonne trifft auf die Bäume und diese werfen lange sehr kontrastreiche Schatten auf den Boden. Das ist heute das perfekte Motiv für mein Aquarell. (Meine Übung in warm-kalt Kontrasten: Die warmen Farben des Zaunes und der Hausdächer gegenüber der Kälte der Umgebung.)
