Sicily Sketchbook - Porticello

I am in Sicily! Came late in the evening and now stroll through the port of Porticello. The fishermen are busy working on their boats. Found a nice Café to sketch from. Good Italian coffee included in the experience. To my right there are the bigger fishing trawlers in this relatively large port of Porticello. The ships are mostly painted in blue and white and the atmosphere is calm and friendly. It still seems like summer as the temperatures are around 20 to 25 °C. A good start.

Ich bin in Sizilien! Kam gestern Abend spät an und trödle nun durch den Hafen von Porticello. Ein gutes Café ist schnell gefunden und ein leckerer italienischer Kaffee ist obligatorisch.


Die Fischer arbeiten auf ihren Booten und die etwas größeren Fischerboote sind rechts von mir zu sehen. Der Hafen von Porticello ist ein bedeutender Fischerhafen hier. Die Schiffe im Hafen sind blau-weiss gestrichen und die Stimmung ist sehr ruhig. Es fühlt sich für mich nach Sommer an, denn die Temperaturen liegen noch bei 20 bis 25 °C. Ein schöner Anfang.
