My pencil drawing was made with a product out of the Augsburg goodie bag which was the Pentel graph 500. I usually use normal pencils and was surprised how easy this one worked on the fine grained paper I used. As a paper I tried the postcard sized of Stillman&Birn Alpha paper which is 150 g, fine grain and rather for dry media.
Several layers in my usual watercolour technique were done, but it needed a lot of effort to get the colours to this glow. At least after a lot of tuning I reached the point I wanted to. For sketching outside in my kind of technique it is not the right paper as it seems to absorbs somehow the watercolour (?), but if you use dry technique it might be good for you. Anyhow I am satisfied with the outcome.
Meine Bleistiftzeichnung habe ich heute mal mit einem Goodie aus der Augsburger Goodie Bag gemacht und das war der Pentel Graph 500, ein Druckbleistift. Normalerweise verwende ich einfache Bleistifte. Ich war überrascht, wie gut der Stift (ohne zu stocken, obwohl die Mine recht hart schien) über das feine Papier glitt. Kein Spitzen nötig. Das Papier, das ich hier verwendet hatte, war ist wiedermal ein postkartengrosses Testpapier von Stillman&Birn und nennt sich Alpha. Es hat 150 g, eine feine Oberfläche und ist für trockene Medien und Lavierung geeignet.
Ich hab meine normale Aquarelltechnik angewendet und es brauchte schon sehr viel Zeit die Farben so aufzubringen, dass sie leuchtend auf dem Papier rauskommen. Ich würde das Papier daher doch eher für trockene Farben oder Tuschen verwenden, denn nur mit viel Mühe bekommt man die Farben so farbkräftig wie oben hin. Für draussen wäre mir das zu mühsam und langwierig, aber das Papier ist wie gesagt für trockene Medien gut geeignet. Auf jeden Fall geht es auch ganz passabel für schnelle Skizzen mit leichter Colorierung.
