This is the view to Monopoli harbour from our position at the shore across where you can swim and snorkel in the beautiful blue sea. The water is extremely clear and attractive and there is a nice café up the stairs... This ship was being unloaded, when I sketched it. The fortified old City Centre of Monopoli could easily be visited by foot. Everything is very close and the restaurants offer local delicacies.
Von unserer Position am Ufer gegenüber des Hafens von Monopoli hatten wir den Blick auf dieses Schiff. Hier kann man super schwimmen und schnorcheln, das Wasser ist extrem klar und ein paar Stufen hoch in die Stadt gibt es ein Café mit tollem Ausblick. Das Schiff auf der Skizze wurde eben entladen, als ich es malte. Die Altstadt von Monopoli kann man prima per pedes erkunden. Alles ist sehr nah beisammen und die Restaurants locken mit lokalen Spezialitäten.
