Swidnica Sketches...

This is the sketch I made during the Festival and later exchanged with Dora Pindur, sketcher from Wroclaw (one of the organizers of the Festival). We sketched together the same bridge in the park and now her bridge is framed in my living room.

Then an unfinished sketch as it was getting dark and we had dinner...

Justyna is coming!

Justyna arrived one day before Sketchtour SHA and as soon as she was there, we went sketching in the nice medieval city of Vellberg. In my upper sketch, I sketched her into the watercolour...;)

This was a wonderful warmup for us as the next day the Sketchtour Schwäbisch Hall was about to begin. (The left sketch is Justynas and the right one is mine.)

International USk Festival in Swidnica, Poland - Flower Market - Clocktower - Exhibition

One morning there was some rain, so we hided under the town hall arcades and sketched the flower market which was opposite. I was in good company of some sketchfriends and we had a good time.

On Sunday morning sketcher Michael proposed to Stephanie, Skri and me to go up the clocktower of the townhall building and there we sat with an awesome 360° view of the city. You could have sketched there several days in a row. I found the clock itself very interesting and focused on it...and...among all those hundred sketches this one was elected "sketch of the day" on Sunday. What an honour. I received a sketchset of watercolours plus a sketchbook. Will try them some time in the future. Thank you so much USk Poland.

Lateron I sketched the Hermes on a Rooftop of an iconic building in Swidnica:

And then there was this column...but we had to hurry to the exhibition so I stopped in between...

The final Exhibition was held at the Swidnica Cultural Centre.

In the end of the Sketchfestival our sketches were displayed in this beautiful exhibition space, all same size, printed in A4 on 200gms. It looked fantastic.

Thank you so much for everything it was an awesome event.

International USk Festival in Swidnica, Poland - Church of Peace

The first official venue for us was sketching at the Church of Peace in Swidnica. We sat beside tombstones and skeched this Unesco World Heritage Site.

There was also a challenge every day and the Orga Team decided each day on the sketch of the day.

My second sketch was of on of the tombstones beside the church. In order to be faster I made a black inkpen sketch and watercoloured just randomly.

You can see the three different official stamps they had on this sketch.

...to be continued...
