The clean-up of my studio sometimes is a funny thing - every time I do this I discover long lost objects. This time I found a pencil sketch I did at the end of September on site in Crailsheim, but never finished. At that time I took a few photos just to remember the colours.
It was fun to colour it now although I would have preferred doing it on site for the freshness of the colours. Outside drawings and paintings are mostly more fresh and clear and as time is always barely sufficient you concentrate on the essential.
Manchmal überrascht mich eine Entdeckung, wenn ich ein wenig in meinem Studio aufräume. Ich finde immer mal wieder Dinge, die ich bereits lange vergessen hatte. So wie diesmal auch. Die Bleistiftskizze vom Spital in Crailsheim war mir total aus dem Sinn. Die habe ich direkt vor Ort skizziert, konnte aus Zeitgründen aber nicht mehr aquarellieren und machte ein paar Fotos, um die Farben zu erinnern.
Jetzt, da ich das Bild wieder gefunden habe, musste natürlich Farbe drauf. Besser wäre es natürlich gewesen, ich hätte das vor Ort gemacht, denn durch Zeitdruck und durch die Helligkeit draussen werden die Bilder immer irgendwie frischer. Man konzentriert sich aufs Wesentliche.
