Tried a sheet of winsor and newton paper (received on the occation of the German Meeting in Augsburg) for a quick sketch of Monreale church. Btw one of the most beautiful churches I ever saw. From outside it already looks great, but from the inside it is absolutely stunning. It is a must! Sat directly opposite to the church in a café. The fountain and lots of other houses would have been fun to draw, but I did not have enough time to do more. Maybe next time.
Hab ein Testblatt von Winsor & Newton (das ich in Augsburg am W&N Stand erhalten habe) für eine schnelle Skizze von Monreale ausprobiert. Das ist übrigens eine der schönsten Kirchen, die ich je gesehen habe. Von aussen sieht sie bereits imposant aus, aber von innen ist sie kaum zu übertreffen. Ein Muß! Ich saß gegenüber im Café. Auch der Brunnen und viele andere Gebäude wären super zum Malen gewesen, aber ich hatte leider nicht genügend Zeit. Vielleicht nächstes Mal.
