My pencil is already extremely shrunken to a 2 cm minipencil which needs to last till I fly home. So this one is done with my remaining lilliput material and it is a view from uphill Castellammare down to the harbour, where tiny sailing ships are to be seen in the distance. I sit on a wall of the garden stairs and draw the houses with their balconies and typical shutters and the cast shadows on the walls which make the painting more interesting for me.
BTW: One of the best ice cream parlours is close by and there is always a crowd of people. Maybe one of the busiest places in town and the ice cream is excellent.
Mein schwarzer Stift ist bereits zu einem 2 cm kleinen Stiftchen geschrumpft. Ich kann nicht mehr spitzen und hoffe, dass der Stift noch bis zum Rückflug reicht. Jetzt muss ich damit auskommen und der Blick von der Oberstadt von Castellammare runter in den Hafen hat schon was und die Segelboote kann man aus der Ferne im Hafen liegen sehen. Ich sitze auf einer Mauer an der Treppe, die in den Garten einer Villa führt und male die Häuser mit ihren typischen Balkonen und hölzernen Fensterläden und die Schatten an den Hauswänden machen die Häuser noch interessanter für mich.Übrigens: Eine der besten Eisdielen ist hier die Strasse rauf und es sind immer eine Menge Leute dort. Es ist vielleicht einer der umtriebigsten Orte hier und das Eis ist besonders gut.
