Calabrese Sketchbook - Bella Italia

Welcome to Lamezia Terme, I heard from the speaker at the airport. After two hours by car and a two hour flight we arrived in a very mild climate in Bella Italia. The sun was shining and we made our way to the yellow-orange bus No. 90 (multiservici) to bring us to Lamezia Central Station (a 5 min. ride). The ticket computer was talking German to us which was quite remarkable and extremely easy. We continued the next part of the comfortable journey with the scenic railway along the coast to Tropea where we arrived approximately 50 minutes later. We found our hotel rightaway with a beautiful sight in any direction. This first drawing was from the room terrace facing some buildings, a church and the sea. The afternoon we spent exploring Tropea and the beach. What a relaxed first impression.

Willkommen in Lamezia Terme, klang es blechern aus den Lautsprechern am Flughafen. Nach zwei Stunden Autofahrt und zwei Stunden Flug kamen wir im milden italienischen Klima an. Die Sonne schien und wir machten uns auf zum 90er Bus, der uns innerhalb von 5 min. zum Zentralbahnhof von Lamezia brachte. Die Ticketmaschine sprach deutsch mit uns und wir reisten im komfortablen Zug nach Tropea am Meer entlang weiter. Die Zugreise dauerte ca. 50 min. und das Hotel war schnell gefunden. Der Ausblick war atemberaubend und ich machte die obere schnelle Skizze von der Zimmerterrasse aus. Später mussten wir natürlich sofort die Stadt und den Strand ansehen. Ein toller erster Eindruck.
