Here is my roomportrait of week 100. Nice design to paint in two point perspective.

Room 73

Yes, this is a Swedish style bedroom of 1740, which I painted in watercolour. Can imagine that with this elegant oven the duchess at Stola Mansion always had or still has a warm and cozy time there. Although from 1740, the interior looks quite "timeless" to me.

Room 72

 

As a reward for my room 72, I deserved a bowl of fresh fruit from the garden. This is how I celebrate my finish. It took quite some time as there again were lots of little details. The background wallpaper seemed very tricky to me, so I changed it into a more loose background. It was a joy to paint!

Gemma Pride and my roomportrait friends chose this tranquil space for our week 55 prompt. It was not easy to manage, above all for matching somehow the rose colour. 

Although the perspective side was not difficult, the patterns and wall deco needed some enjoyable detail painting time. I simply loved to paint it.

For me the big question was, how to deal with the shadow parts within the light rose colour. Let me know how YOU would try to solve that.

 

Ein sehr ruhiges Zimmer in rosa dieses Mal. Die Perspektive war hier nicht die grosse Schwierigkeit. Es gab jede Menge Details. Die grosse Frage war für mich, wie man hellrosa im Schattenbereich malt, damit die Farbe nicht zu dunkel wirkt. Wie hättet ihr diese Herausforderung gelöst?

roomportrait 10 - Patterns and Wallpaper Design

 

Could not resist the week 10 roomportrait prompt, just because I like....the perspective, the colours and the patterns, as well as the centre artpiece and above all the fantastic DeGournay wallpaper design. Not many extreme contrasts in this one, but challenging patterns.

Diesem Wohnraum konnte ich einfach nicht widerstehen, weil ich folgende Dinge daran mag: Die Perspektive, die Farben und Muster sowie das zentrale Bild und vor allem die wunderbare DeGournay Tapete. Es gibt nicht so extrem starke Kontraste, aber dafür viele kleinteilige Muster.

Roomportrait - Tropea Palazzo

 

From one of my Tropea, Kalabria photos I painted this palazzo interior hall, which nowadays is converted to a restaurant. I cheated a bit, by changing the lamps and the artwork on the wall to my ideas. Like the light and shadow play.

Von meinen Tropea (Kalabrien) Fotos, malte ich diese Eingangshalle des Palazzo Teatino, die heutzutage Teil eines Restaurants ist. Die Lampen und Bilder an der Wand habe ich etwas angepasst. Mir gefiel es den Lichteinfall durch das Fenster darzustellen.

This time I wanted to challenge myself with a roomportrait just out of the five colours, which are: 

Yellow, Cadmium Red, Ultramarine, Magenta and Cerulean Blue. Challenging, but fun. 

Dieses Mal wollte ich mir noch die Aufgabe stellen, das Raumportrait nur aus den fünf genannten Farben zu malen. Das war eine schöne Herausforderung.

Roomportrait Green Room

 

It took me a lot of green colour and many espressos to get this one done. The most challenging was how to adapt the wallpaper design and the floor. I had a lot of fun with this central perspective and the nearly parallel arrangement. Thanks for the challenge.

Für dieses Bild habe ich viel grüne Farbe und noch viel mehr Espressos benötigt, um es auf die Reihe zu bekommen. Die grösste Herausforderung war, wie man die Tapete und den Teppich so vereinfacht, dass es noch immer der Vorlage gerecht wird. Die Perspektive und fast parallele Anordnung der Einrichtungsgegenstände hat Laune gemacht. Danke für die Herausforderung.

This one is my favourite so far. The interior is so earthy and classic in a way.

Dies ist mein Farvorit. Die Einrichtung wirkt so erdig und klassisch.

Roomportrait - A Hotel in Cefalú

 

What a cool room we had in a hotel-castle in Cefalú. I painted just the view of the hall in front of it. To the left there was our room. It was a very old building, but well restored.

Eine sehr coole Eingangshalle in einem Hotel in Cefalú. Ich habe nur diesen Ausschnitt gewählt. Wenn man links zur Tür reingeht, kommt man in unser Hotelzimmer. Es handelte sich um ein sehr altes, restauriertes Gebäude.

Another day, a different room. This time a living room Thanks to my friends who also like to do roomportraits,  I have more extravagant room photos for more drawing fun. Need the strong colours!

My todays roomportrait shows an office with a play of light and shadow on the wall and the floor. Most of the fun I had was while painting the wall with different very watery colours. This is always a surprise when dry.

Mein heutiges Raumportrait zeigt ein Büro mit Licht und Schattenspielen an der Wand und auf dem Fußboden. Am besten hat mir das Malen der Wand mit verschiedenen stark verdünnten Farben gefallen. Da gibt es immer Überraschungen, wenn die Farbe getrocknet ist.

And I continue...this roomportrait features a room from the island idyll Panarea among Sicily's Aeolian Islands. It was real fun to participate again in the challenge. This time I was struggling with the blue colour...

Und es geht weiter...dieses Roomportrait zeigt einen Raum von der idyllischen Insel Panarea die zu den Aeolischen Inseln bei Sizilien gehört. Es war wieder ein Spaß an der challenge mitzumachen. Dieses Mal hatte ich Mühe die blaue Farbe exakt hinzubekommen...

Lets continue this journey. My todays roomportrait shows a house in the mountain village of Douma, whose name means "tranquility". Originally this room was beautifully put together and shot by saraalaskar and shared by the super talented cosmobrockway. Thanks for the nice prompt from my Room Portrait Friends.

Das Interior-Thema gefällt mir wieder so gut, dass ich damit weitermache. 

Mein heutiges Raumportrait zeigt ein Haus aus dem Bergdorf Douma. Der Name bedeutet "Ruhe".  Das Ursprungsfoto stamt von saraalaskar und wurde von cosmobrockway übermittelt. Danke für das schöne Foto von meinen  Raum Portrait Freunden.

What a great challenge to paint this living room. Had so much fun with the vibrant colours. I already did some interiors last year with my group of "dessins confinés" during the lockdown periods. Good to begin this kind of watercolour subject again.

Was für eine schöne Herausforderung diesen Wohnraum zu malen. Ich hatte dermassen Spaß mit den knalligen Farben. Bereits während der Lockdown Zeit hatte ich mit meinen französischen Malfreunden Interiors gemalt. Schön, das Thema mal wieder aufleben zu lassen.
