With paintings you can create your own world somehow.
Today I began painting seashells. I miss the ocean and therefore a bit of holiday feeling came up thinking about the waves, the sand and the colours of the ocean. It is a real pleasure painting a shell from my seashell collection like sort of a portrait painting with the shell in front of me.

Heute habe ich begonnen Muscheln zu malen. Ich vermisse das Meer und es kam bei mir so etwas wie Urlaubsstimmung auf, denn ich musste an die Wellen, den Sand und die Farben des Meeres denken. Es war wirklich eine schöne Sache eine Muschel aus meiner Muschel-Sammlung zu malen. Es ist wie Portrait-malen der kleinen Muschel, die direkt vor mir auf dem Tisch liegt.
