We landed in Bari and drove further to the beautiful old town of Monopoli. In the old City Center nearly all houses seemed to be built of a beautiful white stone and nearly all boats were blue. No cars werde allowed in the city centre with its narrow streets and squares. Our first point of interest was the beach.
Wir landeten in Bari und fuhren dann in die schöne alte Stadt Monopoli. In der Altstadt waren fast alle Häuser aus einem weissen Stein gebaut und fast alle Fischerboote im Hafen waren blau gestrichen. In der Innenstadt mit den schmalen Gässchen und Plätzen gab es keinen Autoverkehr. Unser erster Weg war natürlich der Weg an den Strand..."the beach, the beach, the beach...." sagte ein Kellner kopfschüttelnd zu mir, der unser Interesse am Baden nicht verstehen konnte.
