USk Hohenlohe - Kirchberg an der Jagst, Part 1

To go sketching outside is always better than inside.  The goal is to get more spontaneous results and drawings mostly look fresher and lighter. 

The weather was perfect again for our Urban Sketch Meet in Kirchberg. We still have to meet under social distancing conditions, but there is enough space... in the countryside of Hohenlohe.

Our first spot was the castle entrance building with a tiny rose garden in front.

I found a nice place in the shade to the left, opposite the castle entrance, while the others installed themselves in places directly in front and within the rose garden.




Draussen Malen ist immer schöner, als drinnen zu sitzen, daher hab ich mich gefreut, dass das Wetter wieder mitmachte, als wir uns wieder zum Urban Sketching in Hohenlohe trafen. Ich male sehr gerne draussen, weil dann auch die Bilder spontaner, oft heller und frischer wirken.

Diesmal heißt der Spot Kirchberg an der Jagst und unter Einhaltung der Abstände hat unsere kleine Gruppe der USk Hohenlohe wieder zusammen gemalt.

After a short lunch break I did a smaller sketch of the inner part of the gate - one of the sheds of the guards, with the phoenix on top.

So far so good for today. This was just part of the story so far...

Nach einer kurzen Vesperpause machte ich eine kleinere Skizze am inneren Tor - die Wachhäuschen mit dem Phoenix drauf fand ich interessant.

Das war alles für heute, obwohl es bisher nur ein Teil der Story war...
