Shortly I became the long ordered parcel with lots of painting stuff as I am nearly running out of paper and this is not bearable. I also ordered a few colour tubes. Some time before I tried them with the help of dot cards and found them quite interesting. Dot cards are very useful for that, too.
Super, let's play with those colours...it is not that I needed some more of them - I just ordered them for the pleasure of painting more portraits and they turned out quite useful.
I will add them to my latest portrait palette. For that reason I cleaned one of my palettes and filled it with different tones in yellow, red and blue from different manufacturers. Please note that this is a very luxurious version of my portrait painting palette (...as you can paint a portrait also with just one, two or three colours.)
As a colour nerd it is a joy to plan a new palette and finally see the colours in the wells. If you click onto the photo you can see my colour descriptions enlarged.
Vor ein paar Tagen kam meine Bestellung an. Ich hatte nicht mehr genug Papier und hab mir auch ein paar neue Farbtuben geleistet. Mit den Farbkarten und meinen Farbtests im Vorfeld habe ich mir ein paar für mich sinnvolle Farben zum Portraitmalen dazugekauft.
Die werde ich zu meiner neuen Palette hinzufügen. Dafür habe ich eine alte leere Palette sauber gemacht und mit verschiedenen Gelb-, Rot- und Blautönen gefüllt. Es handelt sich praktisch um meine Luxuspalette, denn man kann Portraits auch mit ganz wenigen Farben malen.
Für einen Farb-Nerd ist es ein schönes Gefühl die neuen Farben erstmal zu planen und dann zusammenzustellen. Dann werden die Fächer gefüllt und die Farbbeschreibung gemalt und beschriftet.
