Last time in watercolour class I did this painting of Hürden, a small hamlet in Hohenlohe. The original photograph was in black and white so the colours are out of imagination. I regret having painted the ditch too directly into the middle of the sheet. This is a bit disturbing to my eye. Usually I plan a painting in a way to avoid things like that. This time I will have to cut the drawing somehow differently for getting back my composing balance.
Letzes Mal habe ich im Aquarellkurs das obere Bild von Hürden, einem kleinen Weiler in Hohenlohe gemalt. Das Originalfoto war in schwarz-weiss, weshalb dann die Verwendung der Farben der Fantasie entsprungen sind. Leider habe ich den Fehler gemacht, den Straßengraben etwas zu mittig zu setzen, was mich tatsächlich ein wenig stört. Das passiert mir selten, denn normalerweise lege ich das Bild so an, dass keine störenden Elemente auftauchen...um die kompositorische Balance zurückzubekommen, werde ich ein Passepartout zu Hilfe nehmen und das Bild entsprechend zuschneiden.
